Trump Plays It Smart

I was not planning on having a Sunday post, but I figure the community deserves it. And damn it, I miss Chris Zander!

The late, great 49’ers Coach Bill Walsh, an ex-boxer, with a noticeably broken nose, had a reputation for being cerebral and an outlier as an NFL head coach. When of course, he was a like most of them, competitive, always looking for an advantage, and a keen motivator. What made him for a time, special was his knowledge gained from boxing of the advantage of aggression. He was famous for scripting out his first 25 offensive plays, daring the defense to stop his offense. Betting the action beat reaction, and insight Bruce Lee had with his "one inch punch" – no defender could stop it as by the time the defender had processed the information ("he’s punching") and then moved to block it, the reaction lag was beaten by the action. Boxers who rely on speed therefore like to move in close, often, to take advantage of this reaction lag.

Trump is playing this out with the LA Drama of the Immigration Battle of Los Angeles.

There are many other places Trump could have racked up easy wins in ICE arrests and enforcement: Florida, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, even Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, and South Carolina. Yet he chose California, and places in and around Los Angeles. Why?

Trump’s political genius is to bait opponents into taking positions that 80% of people hate, and only 20% of people support. "Kamala Harris is for They/Them. Donald Trump is for you." That was genius, and set up by baiting Harris into full throated support for all trans agendas, including grown men shaking their ying-yang in girls and women’s faces in locker rooms, bathrooms, and more. Or the same chasing little boys around at Drag Queen Story Hour.

Now he’s set up so that protesters wave the Mexican flag and smash military trucks and federal law enforcement vehicles during sweeps and arrests. One man even fired a pistol at one sweep in Camarillo:

There is now a $50,000 reward for his arrest. In response, Trump has given ICE and other federal agencies "full authority" to not only defend themselves but arrest anyone who interferes with them or puts them in danger.

In response to the latest arrests in Camarillo, Karen Bass and the LA City Council have done the following:

• They have decided to give illegal aliens $200 a week in cash cards. Citizens Need Not Apply.

• Issued an Executive Order requiring all departments NOT to cooperate with the feds in arrest, and notify the Mayor’s office of any ICE activity.

The next step, and one Bass is just stupid enough to take, is to order the LAPD to fight ICE to prevent arrests. To aid that step, Judge Maame Ewusi Frimpong (comes from Africa, appointed by Biden, comes from a wealthy Ghanian family, she went to a private boarding school for girls only at Claremont CA), issued a restraining order forbidding any ICE raids in LA or Ventura County. Trump seems to have gamed out the idiot response that the Democratic Party would take in California, and has baited them into:

• Riots with Mexican, Salvadoran, and Guatemalan flags along with looting and flooding freeways (everyman’s nightmare).

• Shooting at feds.

• Siding with Criminal Aliens.

This last "is no accident" as the Marxist say. Trump’s team went through the target list, and chose the the most embarrassing. Dudes who beat their wives, trafficked illegal aliens, were part of MS-13, and are illegal aliens; Democrats fell all over themselves to care about this guy, while ignoring other voters. Black voters in particular have been told by Democrats to get to the back of the bus for the goodies, its Illegal Alien Time! This is increasing the 2024 trend of black voters just not turning out like they used to, and why would they? Democrats are with black voters where Republican voters were with Whites with Mitt Romney.

The target list that was most embarrassing was a major Newsom donor running an illegal (under federal law) pot farm, using illegal alien illegal child labor:

FIRST ON FOX: The President of Glass House Farms, the cannabis farm that federal immigration authorities raided in California on Thursday despite protests, has donated thousands to Democrats in California.

Co-founder, president, and board director Graham Farrar, who self-identifies on social media as residing in Santa Barbara, California, has made numerous political donations to the Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee’s federal political action committee and Rep. Salud Carbajal, D-Calif., according to Federal Election Commission records.

According to California public campaign finance records, he also donated $10,000 to California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom in 2018, and his most recent public political donation was to California Democratic Assemblymember Gregg Hart in July 2023.

Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott tweeted that the farm is "now under investigation for child labor violations" and the Department of Homeland Security told Fox News on Friday that nine unaccompanied children in the U.S. illegally were rescued.

The targeting of the Cannabis Farm was no accident. Likely Steven Miller and Tom Homan, have mapped out the intersection of major donors to the likely Democratic Candidates: Gavin Newsom, AOC, Buttgig, and Harris, and have planned various embarrassing raids that will highlight the dependency on illegal alien serf labor.

Ordinary people looking at this will say, "wait a minute, Newsom’s major donor not only had illegals working his pot farm like Cartels on that Narco show, but illegal alien KIDS?"

Major Republican backers like Amazon and Wal-Mart will look at the illegal alien labor (and the accompanying social welfare cost coming out of their hides per Mamdani and AOC) and see a threat to their robot / AI based models of the future. The untold major shift of massive employers like Amazon and Wal-Mart is that robots are even cheaper than illegals, so they don’t want the illegals around anymore. They will just cost money now.

Trump’s aggressive play (really, Miller and Homan at this point) is to use data to map out the Democratic major players vulnerability, and then hit them, hard with raids. Democratic players look like Narco villains, and have to use ever more anti-American, foreign flag waving anti-Fa lunatics. Violence against ICE raids are escalating, and its likely that we will see daylight armed bands of anti-Fa firing at ICE, possibly with local police support if leaders like Karen Bass are stupid enough to go that far. And never underestimate the stupidity of the DEI politician like Bass. She noted in 2016 when Castro died: “the passing of Comandante en Jefe is a great loss to the people of Cuba.” She had spent time in Cuba in the 1970s studying Marxism and soaking up the Communism. But any politician with national aspirations could figure out that saying nothing about Fidel was a good way to keep their name in the hat for the VP pick (she nearly edged out Kamala in 2020). Her stupid comments about Fidel made her a non-starter as Cubans in Florida are not fond of Fidel or the Castro family.

So, we are seeing the 2020 playbook reversed. Trump and his team decide who to raid, and when, and choose the most embarrassing place to do it: major donors to Newsom who employ child illegal alien slave labor on a pot farm. It is Democrats who scramble to react.

How far Team Trump can keep up the aggressive tempo, remains to be seen. ICE can raid whom they want, and the only way to stop it is to have either the Supreme Court remove Trump as the FT has argued it must to "stop the violence" or they have to start a full on insurrection. A real one, not a self-laden walk through Congress by people in their sixties. And in an insurrection, I like Team Trump’s chances. The illegal alien preference is very thin, and robotics is eroding the big employer preference.

I think the determining factor will the speed and intelligence that Newsom and Bass possess, versus that of Miller and Homan.
