Is Trump Trolling the Generals and Admirals?

The aftermath of Pete Hegseth, ordering more than 800 Generals and Admirals to a meeting to tell them no more fatties, and get with the MAGA program of lethality not diversity, is puzzling.

As expected, the Generals and Admirals did not appreciate it. Some might wonder if this was done to create a provocation and see who would conspire to remove Trump and Vance. I can’t rule that out, most Generals and Admirals have no sense of operational security (aides do that for them) and a habit of using personal cell phones. Big Tech is afraid of an American Cultural Revolution and the Woke General Staff sending the military to back up the new Anti-Fa Red Guards to drag them out of their mansions. With the upside being shoveling pig manure at a farm in Oklahoma for ten years (as happened to Xi Xingping). Get all the brass in one forum. Call them fat, tell them they have six months to get in shape, if not they will get fired (enlisted and lower officers who HAVE to meet these standards, DEIversity are exempt, love this) … then see who conspires.

Most were openly fuming, though they kept their conspiring thoughts to themselves not the press. Hegseth and Trump were derided as “clowns” and Lloyd Austin, who spent most of his time in the hospital, praised.

There is no way these guys can or will get in shape. They will have subordinates sign off on their PT evaluations, and dare Hegseth to fire them. Betting he’s not going to call them in again, as he would not “dare.” Of course, he can and probably will, getting rid of the Woke Officer Corps and putting Trump’s own group in very quickly is one of his big goals.

Of course, others have speculated this was cover for calling in the CENTCOM (Middle East) and SOUTHCOM (South America) commanders for personal consultation and not a zoom call where others can listen in, regarding either or both attacks on Iran and Venezuela. Calling in just the commander or commanders would tip the play.

Of course, it might be both. A consultation for military action, and a way to get the brass to start to conspire. There was basically a conspiracy to allow the mob to remove the President during the Summer of George (Floyd) on the Memorial Day Riots. Trump and his family had to be evacuated to a safe room, the military refused any aid, under General Mark Milley, and only a few Park Police and ad hoc group of various DoJ feds (not the FBI feebs) prevented the mob from storming the White House and dragging out Trump for murder. Trump and his people have neither forgotten nor forgiven this episode.

As a former Chief of Staff, and Biden Pardonee, Milley retains considerable power and pull among the brass. No doubt Big Tech is also keeping him in surveillance. Milley is known to favor China over Trump, and he is unlikely to be alone among the brass. He famously boasted he called China’s top general to tell him he would warn him if Trump gave any orders that threatened China.

Can Trump and Hegseth deal with the military leadership that hates hates hates them and wants them dead? Any real military action even against Venezuela will have to have the removal of a fairly large amount of the brass otherwise they will sabotage it. Their loyalty is to DEI and preventing any junior officer with ability to supplant them. Never forget that.

I would expect a purge of the brass before any action, at least that is how I would view any sensible leader in Trump’s position to proceed. So Trump may do something else, just to be unpredictable. But clearly, the fat, stolid generals and admirals in the picture have to go. There is a reason we have won no significant wars since 1945.
